“Eclipse” — a word meaning a solar or lunar eclipse.
This is the brand's iconic oversized shirt, named after its overwhelming pattern balance, featuring a bold silhouette that envelops the body and a presence as if blocking out light.
The material used is an original fabric created by reproducing the look of a high-density woven broadcloth with a knitted fabric, using a 46G super high-gauge knitting machine. Despite its high density, it offers excellent stretchability, providing a comfortable fit that you won't want to take off once you try it on.
Furthermore, it is resistant to wrinkles and loss of shape during wear, making it highly easy to care for. This is KANEMASA PHIL.'s unique new standard material, combining crispness and a beautiful luster with the softness and functionality inherent in knitted fabrics.
The raw material used is 120/1 ultrafine recycled Suvin cotton, twisted into a two-ply yarn. By using gas-gassed yarn, it suppresses fuzz while bringing out an elegant luster. Additionally, blending it with 50D high-crimp recycled nylon achieves high stretchability and a comfortable wearing experience.
The details are based on classic dress shirts. All seams are French seams, and the buttons are luxurious shell buttons. Furthermore, the cuffs incorporate design elements from vintage dress shirts, with attention to every minute detail.
This is a one-of-a-kind garment that high-dimensionally fuses conflicting elements: the dressy appearance created by the material and an overwhelmingly voluminous silhouette.
The brand logo is engraved on the back of the buttons. This detail imbues the garment with the quality and playfulness characteristic of KANEMASA PHIL.
*French Seam
A sewing method where the seam allowance is sewn twice, encasing it within the fabric. This provides a smooth feel against the skin and excellent durability. Since the seam allowance is not visible on the outside, it achieves a beautiful finish.
